Welcome!

alexander_mitovI am the first US Large Hadron Collider Theory Initiative fellow. I received this prestigious $150,000 fellowship in 2008. My host institution is the C. N. Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics at Stony Brook University (press releases here and here).

My interests are in the precision phenomenology of the Standard Model. This field is a perfect match for my formal background and my strong desire to work with experimentally verifiable problems. The field’s significance is obvious – due to the complexity of the currently registered and anticipated signals at experiments like the Tevatron, the B-factories(at SLAC and KEK), the LHC and the future ILC, the collected data needs to be interpreted as precisely as possible if we want to draw effective conclusions about the validity of the different available models and extract the values of the fundamental parameters with satisfying accuracy.

My additional interests include:

  • Development and utilization of mathematical tools that are of vital importance for performing higher order, high precision calculations,
  • Work with models of Beyond the Standard Model Physics that involve extra space dimensions.
